Cima is a member of Asylos’ Board of Trustees and a MENA Team Coordinator, where she has been involved for four years—first as a volunteer researcher and now in her current coordinating role. She is based in London, working at a global NGO that supports individuals affected by humanitarian crises as well as refugees arriving in the UK.
Originally from Canada, Cima moved to the UK to pursue her MA in Human Rights and Politics at the London School of Economics (LSE). She also holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Ottawa. Her academic and professional experience spans law, humanitarian aid, and research on the MENA region. She has worked with the LSE Middle East Centre on a podcast examining technological developments in the Middle East, and has volunteered with Student Action for Refugees through the Westminster project.
Fluent in English, French, and Arabic—with additional proficiency in Spanish—Cima is deeply committed to human rights, migration, and refugee resettlement.
