Graciela Maitland holds a Master of Science in Disability Studies: Inclusive Theory and Research from the University of Bristol. She is a lawyer with experience in human rights and has worked for the Independent Mechanism for Promoting, Protecting, and Monitoring the Implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in her home country, Peru. She speaks Spanish and English.
