Joel Ekong is a researcher in the Africa team. He is a human rights activist and public interest researcher. With an academic foundation in History and International Studies, his work is defined by a rigorous, evidence-based approach to social justice. He is deeply committed to empowering marginalised communities and currently a staff with the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) working to challenge systemic injustices and champion socio-economic rights. Joel brings his expertise and unwavering dedication to the Asylos community, united in the pursuit of human dignity and the rule of law.
