# Asylos > Asylos is an international charity and volunteer network that produces country of origin information (COI) research to help refugees, asylum seekers, and their legal representatives evidence asylum claims. Founded in 2010 and registered in the UK and Netherlands, Asylos fills critical information gaps about conditions in countries of origin through thematic reports, case-specific research, spotlight reports, and training materials. Asylos research is used by lawyers, judges, UNHCR, and other decision-makers in refugee status determination (RSD) proceedings. ## Research reports Asylos produces peer-reviewed country of origin information (COI) reports on conditions in specific countries, covering topics such as persecution of LGBTQI+ individuals, trafficking and modern slavery, disability, statelessness, political persecution, and the treatment of returnees. ### Thematic reports -
