Matthew Abbey is lecturer in critical human geography at the University of Leeds. His research examines artificial intelligence, social justice, and borders, amongst several other topics. His writing has appeared in leading academic journals as well as international media outlets. He previously completed his PhD in Women’s and Gender Studies at the University of Warwick, in addition to gaining experience with organisations such as the United Nations, Human Rights Watch, and the Global Public Policy Institute.
