Maysara Alkhalaf is Asylos’ Programme Manager for Network Research, based in Durham, United Kingdom. He is a Syrian researcher, political analyst, human rights advocate, and author. He has worked with a number of human rights organisations and refugee support initiatives, with a particular focus on asylum, displacement, refugee protection, conflict, and international affairs, alongside a strong interest in country of origin information (COI). Maysara also works with Durham City of Sanctuary as a Coordinator and Communications Administrator, and has contributed to advocacy, campaigning, and community sponsorship initiatives connected to UNHCR in the UK. He is also a member of the UK for UNHCR advisory committee. Alongside, he has contributed as an author to North East Byline.
