Yiğit Aksakoğlu is part of Asylos’ Board of Trustees, and a civil society professional and human rights advocate with over two decades of experience working across Europe and the Middle East. His work has focused on developing and implementing advocacy strategies, supporting rights-based organisations, and scaling public policy initiatives for vulnerable and displaced populations. He has worked in collaboration with NGOs, universities, private sector actors, and municipal and national governments.

Yiğit holds an MSc in NGO Management from the London School of Economics and a postgraduate degree in International Cooperation and Development from the University of Barcelona. He began his academic journey in Civil Engineering at Yıldız Technical University in Istanbul. Yiğit currently lives in the Netherlands with his two daughters.
